Rygar The Battle of Argus12/09/08WiiRygar returns! Disc-armor in hand, Rygar returns to redeem his country and rescue the maiden from the clutches of evil... well that's the cliff's notes version of it anyway. It's been a while since I played this, but the original PS2 game comes back to us enhanced with new content and new challenges.As with Okami, for those who never played the game, there is no better time to be a Wii owner. And for those of us who have, the game kicked ass anyway so maybe this deserves another look. Rygar's physical make-over is a bit jarring, but maybe the game's creators thought the original look was too boring (or maybe they thought that we thought that?). But thankfully the gameplay is in-tact, and look out Koji Igarashi... a good action game making use of the Wii remote?! What will they think of next?Notes: I spend more time planning these videos it seems than I do putting them together, but I thought I'd try to make it more interesting as I do using music clips, (familiar?) and bringing many ideas together into one video. The preview is straight from GT, and it makes a good case for this remake since the Wii's action/adventure landscape sometimes looks like a barren desert. Maybe Prince of Persia, RE4, Tomb Raider Anniversary (and Underworld), Okami and now Rygar seem like familiar territory, but they work to shine as examples of good action gameplay with hardcore gamers in mind for a system that either gets overlooked or flooded with mediocrity. So trust me, if you've never played this game and you're a Wii owner... this is a must have!
