Chapter 50 Part 3:*Kims POV*"Does Joe know the truth about Ashley yet?" Kevin asked.I shook my head. "Nope. I was the first person Nick told."Just then there was a knock at my front door. I got up off the couch and as soon as I opened the door I was engulfed in a hug from Julie."Kim! How are you? Wait, thats a dumb question. You must be so heartbroken! I'm going to go kill Joe as soon as I see him."I pried Julies arms off of me and looked at her. "Wait, how do you know about me and Joe?"She titled her head. "Kevin called me this morning before my class."I looked over at Kevin. "Did I forget to mention I told Julie?" Kevin said awkwardly."Its okay, Kevin." He seemed to relax when I wasnt mad at him. I turned back to Julie."Well, there is something that happened this morning that Kevin definitely didnt tell you."Julie raised an eyebrow. "Really? What happened?""Um, Nick kissed me." I said, slightly embarrassed.The expression on Julies face changed to complete shock. "He did w-what?"I explained everything to Julie. "So basically I lost two of my best friends in less than 24 hours. I am definitely on a roll." I said sarcastically. I started to walk away from Julie when she grabbed my arm and stopped me."Oh no you dont!""No I dont what?" I asked."Sarcasm is the first step." She replied.I was completely confused, and so was Kevin. "The first step to what?" we asked simultaneously.Julie sighed. "I am surprised I have to explain this, but I will. When you get upset, the first sign that you are trying not to deal with whatever happened is sarcastic remarks about it. Then comes the anger towards other people, well, mostly me when I bug you to talk about it and you dont want to."I tilted my head. "You had your psychology class this morning, didnt you?""Yeah, how did you know?"I shook my head and walked back to the couch. "Look, does it really matter how I deal with this? I mean, the way I see it, the outcome is the same: Joe hates me for doing something that I didnt do, and Nick hates me for not feeling the same about him. The way I deal with this doesnt affect anything."Julie sat down next to me. "It does if we change the situation."I looked at Kevin and he shrugged, so I looked back to Julie. "Okay Jewlz, what are you planning now?""You said that Joe doesnt know the truth about Ashley. So if we tell him that she hurt Nick, you two can get back together." Julie seemed really excited about this plan.I sighed. "Thats fine, but it doesnt change much. Nick will still hate me, and Joe, well he said some things that I'm sure where they came from. If he said them, he must have thought them at one point or another."Julie didnt seem to like my answer. She stood up and grabbed Kevins hand. "Come on Kevin. We are going to fix this. Kim helped fix you and me, now its our turn to return the favor."Before I could say anything, they were out the door.*Joes POV*After Kevin left, I got dressed, ate breakfast and moped around. I wasnt sure what I was feeling anymore. It was like I wanted Kim back so bad, just to be near her and hold her in my arms, but I kept thinking about the possibility that she hurt Nick. But then I would think about how Kim could never do something like that. I was so torn, and really, I was just miserable.As I was sulking on the couch Julie and Kevin walked in the front door and by the look Julie was giving me, I knew this wasnt going to be good. She walked up to me and pulled me off the couch so I was standing. "Joe, did I ever mention how stupid you are? All those things you said to Kim, I should just kick your a—""Hey!" Kevin came up and pulled Julie away from me before she actually tried to hurt me. "Joe, you should sit down. We have something to tell you." Kevin said.I did like he asked as Julie and Kevin stood in front of me. Kevin took a deep breath. "Ashley poisoned Nick and blamed Kim. Shes Davids cousin and was helping him get to Kim."My stomach sank and my heart stopped. I could barely breathe as Kevin told me everything Ashley had done. And the worst part was I believed HER over Kim, the one girl I believed in most. I knew in the bottom of my heart that Kim would never hurt Nick, but for some reason it was like I let all the worry and frustration about Nick being sick build up until I blew up at her. I didnt even know where to start to fix this...Just then Nick walked by and grabbed his coat, but I dont think he saw me on the couch. "Where are you going?" Kevin asked him."To Kim's. I need to apologize for what I said and I shouldnt have kissed her."My jaw dropped and I immediately stood up. "YOU KISSED HER?!?"Uh oh... Am I sensing some sibling rivalry?
